Spantik 7,027 meters (23,058 feet)

Details

Spantik is also called Golden Peak. The Karakoram mountain range which includes Spantik or Golden Peak, is found in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan province. It is one of the easier peaks to climb with a height of 7,027 meters (23,058 feet). German climbers under the direction of Karl Kramer made the first ascent of Spantik in 1955. On July 5, 1955, the crew attained the summit after ascending the mountain's southeast ridge. There have been several successful ascents of Spantik via various routes on the mountain. Spantik is known for its striking pyramid shape and beautiful golden hue in the early morning and late afternoon light. It is a well-liked destination for both seasoned and beginning mountaineers due to its accessible position and relatively simple climbing routes. Although appropriate acclimatization and technical expertise are still necessary for a successful ascent, climbers must still deal with the altitude and challenging weather conditions.
